Mission Inn Resort & Club Appoints New General Manager
January 24, 2023

Mission Inn Resort & Club, an MMI Hotel Group property, is excited to announce the hiring of Cindy Staley, a seasoned hospitality professional, as its new general manager. In this role, Staley is responsible for overseeing the hotel’s daily operations and guaranteeing guest satisfaction while prioritizing a productive work environment. She will work to develop and implement growth strategies for the resort, manage the hotel budget to optimize performance and supervise all resort staff to ensure efficiency and a positive guest experience.

“As the resort enters a period of exciting enhancements under the new acquisition, it was vital that our hotel group appoint a general manager who would be the right fit for Mission Inn and its time-honored traditions, as well as for MMI Hospitality Group as the new owner and operator,” said Dominic Buompastore, Vice President of Operations for MMI Hospitality Group. “Based on her extensive hospitality experience in the region and admirable work ethic, we knew Cindy Staley was perfectly suited for the position. We believe this, coupled with her appreciation of both the community and the resort’s history, make her the ideal candidate to lead us into this next chapter of growth and expansion for Mission Inn.”

Staley has held management positions in hospitality for more than 25 years, primarily with concepts in Florida, ranging from Miami to Orlando, since 1998. In her most recent role as General Manager at B Resort & Spa in The Disney Springs Resort Area, Staley significantly improved anticipated revenues for both the hotel and food & beverage programming, tripled staffing levels and developed a strong operations & revenue/sales team. Because of her exceptional leadership, she was awarded the 2021 General Manager of the Year for Performance Hospitality Management. She’s continuously exceeded revenue expectations and transcended brand standards in guest satisfaction throughout her career. Staley’s distinguished leadership and refined administrative skill set contribute to her status as an authoritative figure in the hospitality industry.

MMI Hospitality Group acquired Mission Inn Resort & Club earlier this month, and their leadership team will act as both owner and operator of the expansive resort through their hotel management division. Plans for phased property enhancement are underway, with changes to come as early as this Summer. Staley has assisted and participated in 8 hotel conversions, 3 openings, 7 major renovations and 2 reopenings to date, yielding her an impressive inventory of qualifications for this new management role.
